„The ocean was ominously calm today. The tide has been slowly rising, the air was growing thicker and thicker with salt. The superstitious folk might have thought it was the hush before the storm.

Local shamans have been reading augural signs for months: nightmarish visions of inconceivable terror ascending from the deep, dreams of other worlds filled with black nothingness, prophecies of an infinite vortex sucking the whole world into the abysmal void.

The sacrifice was made in order to prevent the disaster, in an attempt to plead to the unseen gods for mercy. The daughter of a fisherman was chosen to be the one to protect the world from impending doom. The poor girl was thrown into the ocean to be swallowed by waves and ripped apart by deep water monsters.

Little did they know that she would soon re-emerge as the harbinger of their inevitable end.„
